One Injured in Truck Accident on Highway 395 at Air Expressway [Adelanto, CA]

ADELANTO, CA (August 28, 2023) – One person was injured in a truck accident on Highway 395 in Adelanto Thursday morning on August 24. The accident happened around 5:15 a.m. at Air Expressway. According to the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station, a 2024 Peterbilt semi truck and trailer carrying a load of cattle was traveling northbound on Highway 395 at about 45 mph. The driver ran a red light and struck the driver’s side of a Honda Ridgeline pickup truck that was going westbound on Air Expressway. The impact sent the Honda approximately 20 feet off the roadway and onto the dirt shoulder of the southbound highway. As a result of the crash, the driver of the Honda suffered unspecified injuries. An air ambulance took them to a trauma center for treatment. The driver of the semi truck driver was unharmed and none of the cattle were killed in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
